Recent Air Rifle-Related Injuries Prompt Authorities to Increase Gun Control
Philip Olson, 71, was fined $855 for using an air gun to fire and injure a U.S. Marine. While passing by, the stray projectile hit Lance Cpl. Gabe Heefner in the head, leaving him in serious condition. Olson said he shot his air weapon at the Marine while hunting a squirrel. After one week, he had scheduled his first deployment to Okinawa, Japan.
