Young adults are driving innovation in the gun industry.
According to Adams Arms, millennials are the second largest purchase group for guns behind women. This generation has better knowledge about the Second Amendment and more purchasing power due to their increasing affluence and education. Younger gun owners are more likely to favor the right to carry concealed weapons and the Second Amendment right to possess guns in public for self-defense than older gun owners. Additionally, they are more likely to listen to gun-related podcasts and television programs, engage in online forums, and incorporate technology into the gun culture.
Millennials compose 82 percent of the U.S. Army and 74 percent of military veterans who joined after September 11, 2001.
