These careers are known for their lengthy, frequently demanding hours, large bonuses and luxurious lifestyles. Negotiating multibillion-dollar agreements while wearing custom suits, might, nevertheless, make it all seem worthwhile. An intern whose hopes of getting on Wall Street were dashed after spending the summer of 2022 working for a modest investment bank in Chicago was just interviewed by Insider. The bank made him a sizable offer to work there again full-time, but he declined because the experience had such a negative impact on him.
