Numerous businesses engage on a philanthropic basis to help the Ukrainian military. The global repercussions of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have contributed to the stock market’s troubles.

The Lviv-based company Gregory Textile currently has contracts to produce uniforms for the Ukrainian military. He said the company’s earnings are 60 percent of what they were before the conflict, but it is still profitable. In March, the kiln was in a Russian-occupied Ukrainian city in the south, but he paid Russian authorities at checkpoints to remove it. If his firm can grow, he expects to sell the armor for $220 to $250 each unit
