Maj. Gen. William Cooley, the former chief of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), will face a court-martial on Monday, the first general officer in the Air Force’s history to do so. Cooley has been charged with sexual assault under Article 120. He was accused of kissing and molesting a civilian without her consent in August 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He denies the charge, and his counsel claims no unwelcome contact occurred.
