The Army unveiled a new recruitment video for its psychological operations career sector this month. The video has a somewhat unsettling, weird atmosphere. It shifts from a video of contemporary cities, a forest, and a black-and-white cartoon to a film of 20th-century wars and speeches, all connected by the theme of being “a ghost.”
Officials from the Ukrainian Air Force revealed that the Ghost of Kyiv was a hoax on May 1, two months after the invasion. This emblem, akin to the legend of the Snake Island defenders, who all perished in defiance of a Russian warship’s surrender order, has undoubtedly been one of the most significant benefits to the Ukrainians’ battle against Russia.
