The U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bomber made history last week after successfully landing at Norway’s Bodø Air Station, a remote air base north of the Arctic Circle. The bomber went for a layover to refuel before departing again. The event also marks the farthest north the B-1B has ever operated. The bomber is 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, 7th Bomb Wing’s Dark Knight,” which is based in Norway temporarily while it’s exercising with NATO and Swedish air forces.
