Ex-Green Beret, son in Japanese custody for helping former Nissan boss escape while awaiting trial | Army Times

After their months-long battle to stay in the U.S., Michael Taylor and his son, Peter Taylor, failed to convince U.S. officials and courts to stop them from being handed over to Japan. The two were being charged for helping former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn escape Japan. They were officially handed to the Japanese officials early Monday, and their trial is expected to start soon.
