Ankara threatens to escalate its military actions against the SDF in Syria.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president, has vowed to intensify military operations against Syria’s Democratic Forces (SDF). Erdogan made the remarks after the death of a Turkish police officer in Syria’s Aleppo governorate’s northern countryside. Since April, Turkey has increased its strikes on SDF positions. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar declared the start of a large-scale military action against the SDF in the region of Aleppo.
