To improve safety during tactical operations and minimize property damage, the Eagle County Special Operations Unit in Colorado has added two Transcend Robotics robots to their SWAT team.Â
The Eagle County Special Operations Unit in Colorado has added two robots from Transcend Robotics to assist with SWAT operations. The Hot Gas Delivery System robot can search a scene and deploy non-lethal gas or chemical ammunitions such as pepper spray, reducing the need for personnel to break windows or throw the ammunitions inside. The Vantage Breacher robot can break through barricades and doors remotely, enabling the team to stay outside while the robot navigates the scene and communicates with people inside. The robots will help to increase safety during tactical operations and reduce property damage. The special operations unit is sending eight people to Georgia for additional robot training.Â
