There are further ways that Berlin deviates from accepted contemporary norms. Berlin is dealing with the same issues rocking the rest of Germany, just like the rest of the country. Inflation, high energy prices, unrestricted immigration, and cultural differences are contributing to spiraling tensions as the political upper classes’ masks start to come off. These conflicts over contrasting ideologies and worldviews are becoming more widespread than just in the old East Berlin. Furthermore, the winning democratic West is gradually adopting the preferred operating procedures of the failing communists.
