A night vision gadget and decibel-independent hearing protection are features of the new helmets.
The tactical helmet being developed for the German Armed Forces has successfully passed formal qualifying testing and quality inspection, according to Rheinmetall (Bundeswehr). The first three lots of combat helmets from the ensuing deliveries to the German Army have undergone the most recent testing. The German Ministry of Defence (MoD) ordered the combat headgear as one piece of equipment to equip the Bundeswehr as the threat environment in Europe altered.
