Army special ops training starts Friday, runs two weeks | The Jolt News

Must Read

U.S. Army Special Operations Command are slated to conduct “routine military training” at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and two other facilities in the Pacific Northwest area. The community has been warned to expect increased air traffic and noise levels associated with a large-scale airborne operation.

The two-week training event will feature low-flying helicopters, tilt-rotor aircraft, and nighttime air operations. The CV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft is known to be especially noisy when taking off or hovering.

Press releases from the Army add that challenging training that simulates realistic scenarios help keep soldiers at peak readiness.
