Air Force target drone, shot down in Gulf of Mexico, washes ashore in southern Florida | Air Force Times

Must Read

After a test run over the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Air Force BQM-167A aerial target drone washes ashore at Ocean Ridge Hammock Park in Boynton Beach, Florida. The 20-foot-long BQM-167A aerial target plane was launched from Tyndall Air Force Base in the Florida Panhandle by the 53rd Wing’s Weapons Evaluations Group. This means that the Gulf Stream carried it about 500 miles from where it was shot down, which might have lasted around 2-3 months.
