Air Force Pay Cuts Canceled | Military.com

Must Read

No pay cuts for the Air Force.

For airmen performing some of the most difficult duties, a series of wage reductions that were supposed to go into effect next month will now not, according to Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall. In the fiscal 2023, which begins on October 1, hundreds of airmen, many of whom work in some of the most physically taxing and challenging positions, were expected to experience reductions in their Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP), a monthly incentive bonus, ranging from $900 to $5,400 annually. Kendall did however declare that the Department of the Air Force “would restore all the changes to special duty assignment pay that were planned to take effect” during his opening remarks Monday at the Air & Space Forces Association’s annual conference.
