Remote employment became a need for practically all businesses during the peak of the pandemic. Although the lockdowns are no longer in effect, many companies have elected to continue working remotely. Leading a remote team is not the same as managing an in-person team. Despite how powerful communication technology has evolved, it will never be able to completely replace face-to-face conversation. Managers may stay structured in their follow-ups and ensure that goals are reached with a deliberate strategy that includes regular (but not obsessive) check-ins. It also encourages open dialogue.
