Despite the huge impact frontline workers have, many companies continue to neglect their frontline workers, which in turn has led to a record number of employee’s leaving their current jobs. In January of this year, 4.3 million people quit, and the numbers increased to 4.4 million the following month. This labor shortage is forcing companies to rethink their benefits and general engagement with their workforce, and is driving employees to demand more from the companies they work for. Among the most common demands, is schedule flexibility and long term development.
