Amid the Great Resignation, Work Culture and Employee environment are commonly discussed. However, many companies misunderstand the actual value of a healthy work culture. Work culture not only helps attract and retain talented employee’s, it also has a direct link to worker performance and financial success. Donald Sull, an MIT Sloan lecturer, looked into 500 US companies and found 21 which could be considered “Culture Champions.” Those 21 companies more than double that of NASDAQ over a 5 year period, and 80% outperformed their industry.
Among those 500 companies, 75% published some sort of core values list for their organization, but according to the employee’s who worked for them, was not quite a reality.
