SOCOM makes use of several advanced special operations boats to move operators to targets quickly and quietly. Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC) man Naval Special Warfare’s Special Boat Teams. Although they are a relatively small force, the SWCC offer four small boat options that are suitable for different environments. There is a misconception that SWCC’s only purpose is to transport SEALs but they also specialize in maritime direct-action operations, special reconnaissance, and the infiltration and exfiltration of other special-operations units. China and Russia’s lakes and seas would require the service of the SWCC if a conflict were to break out.
