Green Beret candidates will take part in the Robin Sage training exercise towards the end of this month in the final test of Special Forces Qualification Course training. The two week exercise will commence on January 22nd and conclude on February 4th. The candidates are students at Fort Bragg’s John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

Robin Sage sets students in ‘Pineland’ a fictional country encompassing 25 North Carolina and 3 South Carolina counties. Military and civilian support personnel aid in the exercise acting as various players in an unconventional warfare setting. Military members act as a ‘Pineland resistance force’ attempting to gain control of an unstable territory.

All Robin Sage movements and events are coordinated with local residents and law enforcement to prevent confusion. Residents may hear blanks being fired or see the off flare but they have been instructed to contact local law enforcement who has a direct line to training officials. Robin Sage is the culmination of over a year’s training and is the nation’s premier unconventional warfare training scenario.
