SOCOM Plans Modification to L3Harris Manpack Radio Contract | GovConWire

U.S. Special Operations Command plans to modify their contract with L3Harris to include an additional $297.2 million for the full replacement of legacy manpack radio systems. The original $255 million six year contract between SOCOM and Harris Corp. was signed in 2017. Harris and L3 Technologies completed an all-stock merger in July 2019. SOCOM said last Friday in a SAM notice it identified the need to extend the ordering period by two years and increase the original IDIQ award’s ceiling value.
