US-backed SDF arrest three suspected ISIS members in northeast Syria | Kurdistan 24

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in combination with the US-led coalition against ISIS conducted an operation in northeast Syria that resulted in the arrest of three ISIS “weapons facilitators”.

The SDF and coalition forces are committed to preventing the resurgence of ISIS in NE Syria. Although their caliphate dissolved for the most part over two years ago. They continue to operate through a network of sleeper cells.

Special Operations Joint Task Force – Levant tweeted from their official account that the SDF and coalition forces carried out the operation leading to the three arrests in the town of Markada inside Hasakah, one of Syria’s 14 governates.

Most of the recent ISIS activity has come from the more southern Deir Ez-Zor Governorate where an arrest was recently made on an alleged ISIS financier.
