L3Harris Expanding Oklahoma Footprint to Meet Growing Special Operations Aircraft Demand | Ag Air Update

Must Read

To meet the increased demand for US special operations intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft, L3Harris Technologies is doubling its production rate and personnel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In preparation for the US Special Operations Command Armed Overwatch Program deal to construct the AT-802U Sky WardenTM aircraft, the business is creating a second assembly line to its 90,000-square-foot plant. The firm’s latest production line is intended to manufacture completely combat-ready Sky Warden aircraft, including the incorporation of radios, weaponry, and other mission-critical components. Sky Warden is a cheap, production-ready aircraft built on an Air Tractor platform designed for airborne ISR and other missions in severe warfare settings. L3Harris teamed up with Texas-based Air Tractor earlier this year to produce Sky Warden.
