General Atomics Receives $103M Army UAS Production Contract | Government Contract Wire

The US Army has awarded General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business a two-year, $103.2 million contract to construct MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft systems. The firm will also deliver satellite airborne data terminals to the military organization and manage government-supplied gear under the firm-fixed-price contract, according to the Department of Defense. The work will be done at a site owned by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. in Poway, California. Army Contracting Command received one offer via an online solicitation and anticipates completion of contract services by Dec. 31, 2023. Gray Eagle drones are now used by the service branch for combat, special operations, intelligence, and security tasks.
