Retired Navy chief, Farmington High (West Virginia) alum runs for Navy SEAL cause | WV News

Must Read

Jim Ross, a retired Navy chief who used to run for Farmington High School, is now running for a different and worthwhile purpose: raising money for the Navy SEAL Foundation. Ross, who ran at Farmington in the late 1960s and early 1970s, now runs in his Chesapeake, Virginia, neighborhood three times a week for 3.1 miles (5 kilometers). Previously, he ran the same distance on a treadmill twice a week until the nearby gym closed due to COVID. Ross’ objective is to run the same amount of miles as it takes to drive from his home to the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida, Eight Hundred and Eighty-Eight.
