Famed MMA fighter’s son enlists on an Army Ranger contract | Army Times

Kheydon Gracie, a member of the most influential family in MMA, is planning on joining the 75th Ranger Regiment. Kheydon’s father, Royce was the winner of UFC 1 and his family is credited with popularizing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as it is more commonly known, within the world of MMA. Kheydon is 19 and he enlisted on September 22nd with an infantry contract containing a Ranger option. Royce has personally trained Army personnel in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat and said in the Instagram post announcing his son’s news what a proud father he is.
