New project seeks dream solutions to fix special operators’ sleep woes | Military Times

U.S. Special Operations Command recently awarded a $1.29m contract to Aptima Inc. to develop a tool to improve troop’s sleep health. The program in progress in called RESTORE: Restorative and Efficient Sleep Technologies for Optimizing Operator Resiliency and Effectiveness. Company spokesmen said they aim to provide a “holistic sleep optimization and remediation platform.” The system may combine a series of wearable sensors and devices that collect data and intervene if necessary.
