Tensions throughout the Korean peninsula have been running especially high after last week’s ballistic missile testing from both North and South Korea. In a demonstration of efficacy and precision, American forces based at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek simulated targeted attacks on North Korean missile and nuclear facilities and carried out a mock response. The training involved some the tactical landing of a C-130J, some U.S. Special Tactics Airmen free fall inserting, and others fast-roping from three MH-60 Seahawks. Garrison units and Naval units also participated in the event aimed at maximizing individual and unit readiness.
