U.S. Defense, State officials will meet with rescue groups to help evacuate Americans, Afghan allies | Military Times

Fearing the opportunities to rescue Americans and our allies who remain in Afghanistan are dwindling. The Departments of Defense and State will convene with private groups like Pineapple Express, Digital Dunkirk, and Allied Airlift among others to evacuate the remaining Americans and Afghan allies. As the Taliban tighten their grip on the country and cut off access to communications, rescue efforts will only become more difficult. Private groups made up of former veterans and special operators like Pineapple Express are committed to organizing evacuation efforts.
