We’ve lost, and the tens of thousands of Afghans who have heroically backed the Americans for the past two decades are about to be executed. The Taliban took control of the strategically vital city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Saturday. Afghanistan is vanishing so fast that the only question now is whether Kabul, the country’s capital, can hold out for a few days or a week.
