Cause of death still being sought for Green Beret who died at dive school | Army Times

Must Read

31-year-old Green Beret medical sergeant and father of three, Micah Walker, tragically passed away during a training exercise at the Army’s Special Forces Underwater Operations School at the Naval Air Station in Key West, Florida. Officials say that an earlier press release which attributed Walker’s death to drowning may have been premature. He was in the combat diving pool taking part in a water treading exercise, but sources say he was only underwater for 3-5 seconds after passing out mid-exercise before being rushed to a hospital. As his family, children, and squadmates grieve, an exact cause of death is still being determined.
