This veteran Navy SEAL just did a 5 mile ruck underwater | We Are the Mighty

Must Read

Kaj Larsen, a combat veteran and Navy SEAL, was born to be in the water. Larsen retired from the Navy reserves as a Lieutenant Commander in 2018. He went to Harvard for graduate study in public policy and counter-terrorism studies after his active-duty military service. When Ten Thousand invited Larsen and veteran Marine Raider Don Tran to a show of endurance in 2021, they paired up for what was intended to be a one-mile underwater ruck run. That “just a little” developed into a five-mile underwater ruck that had never been done before. Former special warfare operators used a one-up, one-down freediving buddy system to leapfrog throughout the live seafloor for five kilometers while lugging a 45-pound stone.
