The government that develops and deploys this technology at mass first will have a significant competitive edge, allowing it to resist a wide spectrum of challenges. As a result, the next generation of military technology should be a revolution rather than a minor evolution. Before our adversaries, now is the time to transform directed energy from cinematic magic to military force.
