Mapping the Taliban’s offensive | FDD

Must Read

Attempting to map the lengthy war in Afghanistan has become a more difficult endeavor as the United States prepares to pull out all of its troops. The insurgents are again back at the city gates as part of a rapid attack against Afghan government forces that have raised alarms from Kabul to Washington. The Taliban has been taking over regions in northern Afghanistan one by one in recent weeks. The speed of how they are taking over more and more areas in Afghanistan proves one thing: the “peace process” is a Western fantasy.
