SOCOM’s controversial head of diversity and inclusion is back in his job | Military Times

According to a SOCOM spokesman, a Special Operations Command employee in charge of the organization’s diversity and inclusion initiatives has been returned following a review for social media remarks criticizing ex-President Donald Trump. After critics called a notice to a June 2020 Facebook post of a meme comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler, Richard Torres-Estrada faced criticism nearly instantly upon being selected to the job in March. So, while his Facebook behavior was in bad faith, it occurred before he started working for SOCOM. Its nature does not disqualify him from working in a leadership position there.
