NATO may train Afghan special operators in Europe | Defense One

As the US relinquishes its personnel from Afghanistan, one major concern has been how the US and its NATO allies would continue training Afghanistan’s elite special operations troops, which have assisted in the fight against the Taliban and other terrorist groups. The senior US commander in Europe indicated that NATO might keep the training exercise on European soil on Wednesday. At Camp Morehead in Wardak Province, the US has been teaching elite Afghan commandos under a program that began in 2007. During a nation trip in December, interim US Defense Secretary Christopher Miller made a trip to the facility.
