University president apologizes for plagiarizing remarks by famous Navy SEAL McRaven | Military.com

In a commencement ceremony held at the university’s Williams-Brice Stadium on May 7, the University of South Carolina President and former superintendent of the US Military Academy at West Point, Bob Caslen, delivered a speech. But it was found out that some of his statements were copied from retired Adm. William McRaven’s commencement speech to the graduating class of 2014 at the University of Texas at Austin. Caslen later admitted it and apologized for what he did, and even offered his resignation letter, which was not accepted.
