Desert Storm group makes final funding push to begin construction | Military Times

A charitable organization that has initiated efforts to build a monument to Operation Desert Storm has set a lofty target of raising the final $20 million in funding this year so that construction can begin.  Kuwait’s government has committed $10 million to the initiative. Federal laws require funds before construction can begin, which means that they need to have an estimated $20 million in order for the groundbreaking to take place.
