After a grueling process where they have to demonstrate that they possess the cognitive, character, and leadership attributes needed to become Navy SEALs, thirty Navy SEAL candidates from SEAL Qualification Training (SQT) Class 342 have finally received their Tridents during a ceremony onboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. The ceremony was graced by two Medal of Honor recipients, Master Chief (ret.) Edward Byers and former Sen. Robert Kerrey. Byers was the guest speaker, while Kerrey joined remotely. Both Medal of Honor recipients has offered their words of advice for Class 342.
