Plan for Space Force reserve component is ‘fairly close,’ National Guard boss says | Air Force Times

Must Read

A National Guard Bureau has revealed that senior military officials are “fairly close” on a plan to add a reserve component to the Space Force. Specifically, Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson is scheduled to meet acting Air Force Secretary John Roth and Space Force Chief of Space Operations Gen. Jay Raymond to discuss the final details of pitching a two-part military service. When approved, active-duty personnel and reservists will be combined into one group to give them more job flexibility. It is also expected that the plan would create a National Guard for space missions.
