Air Force testing new capabilities for MQ-9 drone during exercise | UPI

In an announcement made last Tuesday, the Air National Guard has revealed that the US Air Force is working to establish new capabilities for the MQ-9 Reaper drone aircraft. Specifically, the 174th Attack Wing is working with multiple Pentagon contractors and academic researchers to establish battlefield and airspace communications enhancements as well as target identification tracking and processing capabilities of the MQ-9 Reaper drone. Three pods are already scheduled to demonstrate their capabilities at the Pacific Command’s premier Exercise Northern Edge in Alaska.
