Ten years ago the US military, together with the CIA, was able to track down and kill bin Laden. However, the planning of the operation wasn’t easy, and it took a few months in order to layout a clear plan. Two of the most involved people in the planning were Retired U.S. Navy Four-Star Admiral William H. McRaven and Executive Director of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), Nicholas Rasmussen. According to them, the best takeaway from the bin Laden operation is the incredible story of intelligence. Despite its flaws, the plan was a collaboration of them, Pres. Barrack Obama, other high-ranking military officials.
