Top US general: Afghan forces could face ‘bad possible outcomes’ | Military Times

Gen. Mark Milley has described the Afghan military and police as “reasonably well equipped, reasonably well trained, and reasonably well led.” The top US military officer spoke just hours after the official kickoff for the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. He remained noncommittal when asked if the Afghan security forces would be able to hold up without help from the US, stating there could be bad possible outcomes or they could stay together.
