Afghan military will collapse without some US help, says top general in the Middle East | Military Times

As all US troops are to be withdrawn soon, the top US general for the Middle East, Gen. Frank McKenzie, has said that Afghanistan’s military “will certainly collapse” without some continued American support. Specifically, he was concerned about how the Afghan government will protect the US Embassy in Kabul. All US troops in Afghanistan are set to leave their country by September 11th.
