As World War II is nearing its end, the British Special Operations Executive has devised a plan to kill Adolf Hitler in Germany and bring the war to a swift end. The plan was called Operation Foxley and was initially scheduled for July 14, 1944. The plan has considered many options on how they can kill Hitler, including sabotaging railway stations, bombing his train, or poisoning him. The team ended up with a plan to kill the Fuhrer at the Berghof, which, unfortunately, didn’t go as planned as a fully alive Hitler left the Berghof for the last time that day.
