According to a statement issued by the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan Special Forces have killed Kamin, one of the Islamic State’s newly designated local leaders, in an operation conducted in the Kuz Kunar district, Nangarhar province. The operation was specifically created to arrest Kamin, but a gunfight took place while he was trying to escape. Kamin served as the local IS military chief for Pachir Wa Agam and Haska Mina districts of Nangarhar.
