7 appeal to common sense logical fallacy examples | Develop Good Habits

Must Read

Common sense is something that everyone has (allegedly); however, everyone has a different idea of it. This is used to identify what we believe and what we assume others to believe in, commonly known as the appeal to common sense fallacy. The appeal to common sense fallacy is appealing to ideas that always seem right. This type of fallacy takes the “It’s common sense that X is true. Therefore, X is true.” form. Some of the most common examples of this fallacy include believing that global warming is a hoax, the bigger the car, the safer it is, and so much more.
