As agreed, the remaining 2,500 troops in Afghanistan will have to leave the country on September 11th, which also commemorates the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attack. If the US remains true to its words, then the CIA will be left alone in Afghanistan without anybody to work with them come September. This also means that CIA operators won’t be able to count on the Afghan army or police forces either.
