Advocates for veterans sickened by burn pits are taking their biggest stand yet on Capitol Hill | Military.com

Many people have been advocating the rightful benefits of veterans who have been exposed to toxic burn pits. These advocates have never left the side of the veterans, and finally, this year could be the year they all have been waiting for as the passing of a major bill, The Presumptive Benefits for War Fighters Exposed to Burn Pits and Other Toxins Act, is being decided by Congress. There are around 3.5 million veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits, but 75% of them are denied health care and disability compensation.
