Unfortunately, his family wasn’t so supportive of his dream; thus, he ended up joining the U.S. military without his family knowing or noticing. His family only learned about it after reading the news in a school newsletter. Despite everything, Mays pursued his dream of becoming a soldier and is now a lieutenant. “It was an adventure.
